Guest Chef – Nitro Live

Nitrologist (n:) a person who works at the front counter guiding customers through the ice cream making process while ensuring that every customer receives excellent product and service.

We’re having a blast working on our guest Chef Series with our videographer, Boyd Harrington. In case you haven’t been following along on our Instagram page, we’ve created a unique concept of working behind the scenes inside local businesses. We love connecting on a personal level with local companies we love to support. We spent our time filming Episode 2 at Nitro Live learning how to make ice cream desserts out of liquid nitrogen! We picked up the concept quickly and had so much fun working behind their counter.

Nitro Live is family owned and operated by Felicia and Rich, who were on the brink of retirement, but decided to put that on hold to create a company that applies the science of liquid nitrogen to creating delicious ice cream tailored to customers’ needs and imaginations. They also have the ability to accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions, including lactose free, no sugar added, low fat, and vegan treats. They also have a passion for making a difference in the community, including conducting demonstrations at local schools.

Happy Birthday To Us!!

Happy Birthday To Us!!

We can’t believe it, but it’s been 1 year since we started our blogging adventure! If you’ve had the chance to read our very first blog post, which was an introduction of who we are, then you already know a bit about us. To recap, we have been best friends for 11 years now. We met when our oldest children were in Kindergarten together. They are now Juniors in high school and still at the same school! The time has really flown by and we are grateful for every minute of our friendship and everything we have been able to experience together.

Over the years we have gotten together for lunch or coffee when the kids were at school. So, a year ago we decided to document all the places we visit by sharing with the world via Instagram, and voila – Sip So Good was born. At the end of last year, we expanded by creating our own blogging website, and look forward to adding to it regularly, in addition to what we post on social media. It’s a great way for us to expand more and be a bit more personable. It really has been a wonderful year going out and meeting so many inspiring people here in our community. From business owners, to fellow bloggers, to fun events, and more. We have made some amazing friends this past year and look forward to meeting many more.

One of our passions is to support local businesses in our community. We’ve had the pleasure of visiting so many new places and have thoroughly enjoyed trying so many new drinks and foods, some we didn’t even know existed! We can’t even begin to tell you how much we have appreciated all the support we have received as well.

As part of our 1-year anniversary of Sip So Good, we wanted to do something special for all of our awesome followers. We want everyone to experience all the incredible places we have been to or tried. So, we have partnered with many businesses right here in our community, to bring you all amazing discounts through our anniversary weekend. We want to give a HUGE genuine thank you and shout out to all of the businesses participating in our anniversary celebration.

Hello Everyone! An Introduction! :)

This is our first blog post and we would love to tell you a little about ourselves. We are Erika and Kaylyn and we’ve been friends for 11 years now! We met when our oldest kids were in Kindergarten together, and now they are Juniors in high school. It’s so crazy how quickly the time has gone, but we’ve become the bestest of friends over the years. We started out by getting together for coffee and lunch while our kids were at school, and at the beginning of last year we thought “if we’re going to get together so often to try out all these amazing places, we should document it and share it all on Instagram,” So, that’s what we decided to do and we have been active on Instagram for nearly a year now, sharing all our favorite SIP (and food!) locations we’ve come across. We thought focusing more on drinks was a unique concept and since we meet up for drinks more than food, Sip So Good was born. 🙂

If you love drinks and food as much as we do make sure to check out our page on Instagram @_sipsogood_. We are also on Facebook, and we are so excited to have started our very own blog where we can expand even more. We absolutely love what we are doing and we love getting out into the community and supporting local businesses. We have met so many amazing people in such a short time, including some pretty incredible business owners who we’ve gotten to know very well. We’ve even met fellow food bloggers too! Not only are we having a blast doing this fun social media blogging stuff, but we’ve made some great friends in the process! 🙂
